The Philosophy Of African Problems

The problems besetting Africa are not peculiar to it. They have been experienced by other inhabited continents at one point or the other of their history. What is however peculiar to Africa is that it is facing these problems at this epoch in history, when knowledge and technology at man's disposal is greatly advanced, and when the the stage of human civilization has assumed a global proportion, in contradistinction to other epochs in when civilization has been limited to one isolated corner or the other of the earth.
Hence,it should not be a mystery why the African continent is undergoing these problems, given that civilization came to it very late. However, our concern should be that the resources and energy it will need when it come into its own be not squandered at this period in its evolution.
